It still sounds and works great. It was pre-installed at the factory. This turntable was rarely used by my daughter before she moved away to go school, and we boxed up the put it in storage. It does not seem to do anything the volume of analog audio output from RCA jacks on back unit.
NOTE: according to the instruction manual, control on side of turntable between power switch and USB port is supposed be a volume. In excellent physical and working condition with minor scuffs on the clear top cover. I doubt more than a dozen or two records were ever played on the turntable. The Flexson VinylPlay turntable ships with the AC adapter in its original box.
This is the original cartridge. I don't have a USB-B cable to test out the digital output, and remember ever trying it when we first got turntable as wan't interested in ripping vinyl records.
