Review AIWA Mini Stereo System Speakers Remote Surround Partially Working As is

The AIWA CX-NAV800U Mini Stereo Speakers are a unique and stylish addition to any home entertainment setup. These partially as-is speakers boast a compact design, making them perfect for small spaces or as an accompaniment to a larger sound system. The speakers feature a modern, sleek design with a glossy finish, adding a touch of elegance to any room.

The CX-NAV800U Mini Stereo Speakers are designed to deliver high-quality sound, with dual 2-inch full-range drivers and a 3-inch woofer. The speakers are equipped with a digital amplifier that delivers a powerful and clear sound, making them ideal for listening to music, watching movies, or even gaming. The speakers also come with a remote control, allowing for easy volume adjustment and track selection from a distance.

The speakers are partially as-is, meaning they may have some minor cosmetic imperfections or scratches. However, this does not affect their performance or sound quality. The speakers come with a 3.5mm auxiliary input and a USB input, allowing for easy connection to a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Overall, the AIWA CX-NAV800U Mini Stereo Speakers are a great option for anyone looking for high-quality sound in a compact package. With their modern design, easy connectivity options, and powerful sound, these speakers are sure to impress.

Pros of buying a AIWA CX-NAV800U mini stereo speakers in as-is condition:

1. Potential for savings: Buying used or refurbished items can save you a significant amount of money compared to buying new.

2. Vintage appeal: The AIWA CX-NAV800U is a vintage model, and some people may appreciate the retro design and feel.

3. Partially functional: The fact that the speakers are partially functional means that you might only need to replace a few parts to get them working again, which could save you time and money compared to buying a completely new set of speakers.

Cons of buying a AIWA CX-NAV800U mini stereo speakers in as-is condition:

1. Unknown condition: Since the speakers are being sold as-is, you won't know exactly what condition they're in until you receive them. This could mean that you end up with speakers that are more damaged than you expected.

2. Limited warranty: If you buy used items, you typically won't get the same level of warranty coverage as you would if you bought new. This means that if anything goes wrong with the speakers, you may have to pay for repairs out of pocket.

3. Compatibility issues: Older speakers may not be compatible with modern devices, so you may need to invest in additional equipment to use them with your phone or other audio sources.

Conclusion: If you're on a tight budget and you're willing to take a chance on the condition of the speakers, buying the AIWA CX-NAV800U mini stereo speakers in as-is condition could be a good option. However, it's important to be aware of the potential risks and to do your research to make sure you're getting a fair deal. If you have the budget for it, it may be worth considering buying new speakers instead, as they will likely be in better condition and come with a warranty.

Recommendation: If you decide to go ahead with buying the speakers, make sure to thoroughly inspect them upon delivery to ensure that they're in the condition you expect. Additionally, it may be worth investing in some basic repair tools or resources to help you get the speakers up and running if they're not fully functional. Finally, consider researching compatibility issues to make sure that the speakers will work with your audio sources.

Details:

But the button does work, and it seems to mostly filter vocals out. It does not have a door to the battery chamber, and there is piece of Velcro attached back. Neither of the decks will actually play a tape. The surround logic appears to work as expected, in that I can turn it on and the output starts sound different.

So it just doesn't do anything at all. The CD player and tape decks are not in working condition. The speakers are not the original ones for this unit, but from a different Aiwa system. There is a crack in the plastic under CD tray, and white mark across that side of unit.

But I don't have the surround speakers, so can't test that it actually produces output. I think the shorter one is original AM-Loop for this system. The radio tuner and auxiliary input work as expected. Karaoke function has not been tested, as I don't have a microphone.

I attempted to improvise a repair there, but was unsuccessful. This would be easy enough to re-insert if you want attempt repair. You might get better reception with a different antenna. The CD tray itself does not spin at all.

It will come out if you pull on it a bit. The CD player will attempt to eject the drawer, but something is holding it back. I am including two loop-style antennas. Deck 2 will accept a tape, but it doesn't appear to spin when I press play.

There is a small plastic pin on the drawer that broke off. After the tray ejects, it keeps trying to eject further .e. I think door 1 is somehow out of alignment, as can't even close the with a tape in there. The door for tape deck 1 will not stay closed.

The silver pegs at the bottom on either side are attempting to spin, but they're stuck. The other one is not the original FM antenna, but works well enough anyway. The remote is tested and works as expected. The motor keeps running.

This Aiwa mini stereo system features a 3-CD changer, 2 tape decks, AM/FM Radio Tuner, Karaoke, Dolby Pro Logic surround sound, and Auxiliary Input. In order to avoid burning the motor out, I have disconnected ribbon cable that powers and/or controls CD player.
