Its very compact it has high-speed CD -> Minidisc dubbing its NetMD enabled USB connection to your computer, so you can use the stereo as amplified speakers for PC and also copy tracks from MD using Web Pro. Its a cool little machine, and it avoids some of the most common issues the face plate works perfectly. Face plate remains vertical and the top bottom move at same speed. Face plate gears: FINE.

Yellowing: the front speaker rings are yellowed. Face place position switches: FINE. Typical CD and MD player issues come up as well worn belts, mechanisms not accepting a disc, laser mounts getting droopy over time, etc. In reality, the model is known for several shortcomings: the front lip of speakers turns ivory with age One speaker wire was made a whose insulation has totally broken down age, exposing copper inside.

MD recording: Has issues. This results in the face plate repeatedly opening and closing twice. I have several left. Tap the MD eject button and face slides to other side, exposing slot.

When I try to high-speed dub, it seems work, but when play back the recorded disc, get silence. The micro switches in the face plate get out of adjustment, leaving machine confused about position plate. The face plate moves to the correct position and just opens/closes once. I've tested this one, and heres its status: speaker wire: TOTALLY FRAYED needs replacement straightforward repair.

We'll be moving soon, and these need to go. I'm asking about 1/3 the price of one that works properly. The face plate is driven by a pair of tiny plastic gears that have tendency to break, so the can get skewed with only top or bottom moving. Fix its issues and have a great NetMD machine.
