Introducing the Marantz PD-45 Receiver, a remarkable fusion of a high-fidelity dual cassette deck, equalizer, and synthesizer, all integrated into a compact and stylish receiver. This versatile audio system is designed to cater to the diverse needs of music enthusiasts, from casual listeners to aspiring musicians and DJs.
The PD-45's dual cassette deck is engineered for superior audio quality. Each deck is equipped with Marantz's proprietary tape transport mechanism, ensuring smooth and accurate tape motion for uninterrupted playback and recording. The decks are also compatible with both normal and Chromemix cassettes, expanding the range of music formats you can enjoy or record onto.
Beyond just playing and recording tapes, the PD-45 offers an impressive equalizer section, allowing you to fine-tune the sound to your preferences. With a 6-band graphic equalizer, you can adjust bass, midrange, and treble frequencies to create the perfect sound balance for your music collection. Additionally, the equalizer can be bypassed for a flat frequency response, ensuring your recordings retain their original sound.
The PD-45's synthesizer functionality adds another layer of creativity and entertainment to your audio experience. With a variety of preset sounds and the ability to create custom sounds using the built-in envelope generator and LFO, you can add unique effects to your recordings or even perform live. The synth can be controlled via the front panel or remote control, making it easy to use during your listening sessions or live performances.
The Marantz PD-45 Receiver also includes essential receiver features like switchable phono inputs for turntables, line-level inputs for external devices, and speaker outputs to connect to your main and secondary speakers. It also comes with a remote control for convenient operation from the comfort of your seating area.
The PD-45's sleek and modern design complements any home audio setup. With its wooden side panels, aluminum front panel, and recessed control buttons, it exudes an air of sophistication and quality. The PD-45 is a unique and versatile audio solution that seamlessly integrates multiple functionalities into one compact and stylish package.

This is a vintage Marantz receiver with dual cassette deck, synthesize equalizer four deck unit. I would like to see someone get some good use of it. It is not in perfect condition. Back in its time this was top of the line.
I m selling it for the best reasonable offer. It has been sitting in the basement for over 30 years. It also has its original antenna. Which a lot of the time comes up missing.
The stereo does work, although it is missing a knob or two but could be sourced. This unit still holds some value.
